Exhibits and Historical Displays

Several historical displays portraying artifacts and documents from the days of the Joint Numerical Weather Prediction Unit, and the history of the Navy, Air Force and National Weather Service modeling efforts since then, as well as several commercial exhibits will be set up in the concourse area of the University of Maryland University Inn and Conference Center during the Symposium.

National Centers for Environmental Prediction - A historical display featuring the Joint Numerical Weather Prediction

NOAA Library - Archive display of original historical works from the JNWPU

National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) - A display highlighting contributions of operational satellites and internet connection to satellite data

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) - A display about CSC contributions to weather computing including web-based displays

John Wiley and Son Publishers - A display of applicable publications
